Bumbleride Indie Stroller Frequently Asked Questions
The Bumbleride Indie stroller is a full-featured stroller that's perfect for urban and suburban adventures. New moms consistently rate the Indie as one of the best choices as an all-around indoor/outdoor stroller.
Is the Bumbleride Indie stroller a jogging stroller?
This Bumbleride Indie stroller is an all-terrain stroller designed with specific features and capabilities that enable versatility, durability and multi-use functionality. This can include light jogging on level surfances. The front wheel must be in the locked position for added stability. Light jogging is a mile or two a day at a pace that is faster than walking but slower than a full run. The Indie is not recommended for long-distance or high-speed training runs. As all children develop at different rates, please confer with your pediatrician to ensure that stroller-jogging is safe for your child. Never jog or run with an infant seat attached, as the stroller may be unstable.

How does the Bumbleride Indie stroller compare to other strollers?
The Bumbleride Indie stroller is designed to offer moms the most popular features needed on a daily basis by active parents who want to balance safety, comfort, convenience, style, and practicality. We think it compares to these easy-pushing strollers in the following ways:
-
Baby Jogger City Mini GT The Bumbleride Indie has a smoother push suitable for all terrain, and the City Mini GT has a very good push for most surfaces. The City Mini GT is not suitable for any level of jogging. The Bumbleride Indie's fabric is more upgraded. The Bumbleride Indie stroller has an adjustable footrest, while the City Mini GT does not. The City Mini GT has a somewhat easier and more compact fold. The Bumbleride Indie's maximum carrying weight is 45 pounds, compared to the 65 pound maximum carrying weight of the City Mini GT. The overall seat size is comparable. Sun canopies are comparable in coverage. The City Mini GT is 1 pound less. Overall stroller width is the same. The Indie includes numerous accessories; which are optional on the Baby Jogger. The Bumbleride Indie has a better suspension system than the Baby Jogger.
-
BOB Revolution Flex The BOB Revolution Flex is ideal for primary use outdoors. The Revolution Flex is the top choice for serious running regularly. The Bumbleride Indie's fabric is more upgraded and better padded. The Indie has an adjustable footrest, while the BOB does not. The folding is comparable in easiness, but the BOB folded size is significantly bigger. The BOB has wider seats, but with slightly less headroom than the Indie. Sun canopies are comparable in coverage. The BOB weighs 4 pounds more, and the BOB can carry 70 pounds compared to the Indie's 45 pound carrying weight. The Bumbleride Indie strollers include numerous accessories; which are optional on the BOB. The Indie fully reclined seats are rated from newborn, while the BOB seats are rated from 3+ months. The Indie has an adjustable handlebar, while the BOB does not.
Does the Bumbleride Indie stroller go on sale?
Usually, there are restrictions about using promo codes or coupon codes for the Indie stroller. Sometimes at the end of each calendar year, Bumbleride will authorize sales on discontinued fabric colors. Because of dealer agreements, it's difficult to find the Bumbleride Indie stroller on sale at an authorized dealer that includes the 3-year warranty.
Is the Bumbleride Indie stroller fabric washable?
All Bumbleride Indie fabric is composed of a breathable nylon/bamboo blend for long lasting, color-safe wear. The seat fabric is removable and machine washable in cold water on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. For tough spots, pre-treat with Oxiclean or another bleach alternative. Due to the canopy's frame construction, the canopy must be spot cleaned. Please note that all Bumbleride fabric should be air or line dried. Do not machine dry any Bumbleride fabric.
How does the accessory cup holder attached to the Indie?
When standing behind your Bumbleride, a dime-sized knob extends from the right or left side of the handle bar. The cup holder will have a circular cut-out that will lock onto this knob and swivel when needed.
Where is the serial number or Date of Manufacture on my Bumbleride?
The serial number and DOM of your Bumbleride is located on a white, rectangular sticker affixed to the frame. The Date of Manufacture will also be located on this sticker.
What are the dimensions of the Bumbleride Indie stroller shipping box?
The box measures 31 x 19 x 11 inches and weighs 31 pounds.
What does it mean to use recycled PET on the exterior fabrics?
PET (or polyethylene terephthalate) is a polyester that's commonly used in packaging, like water bottles. All polyesters are made using synthetic fibers. Bumbleride can break down, sterilize, and create new fabric from existing materials, which helps reduce landfill space and prevents the unnecessary production of new materials.
What does it mean to use bamboo charcoal on the interior fabrics?
Creating bamboo charcoal involves breaking down natural bamboo fibers into very small particles that are blended into polyester fabric. Bamboo has excellent natural qualities like moisture absorption, temperature regulation and helps to prohibit bacterial growth in the seating area of your stroller. The result is a soft, durable fabric that looks good and is better for baby.

We love this Indie stroller!! We first owned the indie double. After much shopping and test-driving, we found it was the best immediate and long-term option for my girls who at the time were 4 mo and 2 1/2. They are now 4 and 6 and still ride in it comfortably. Only downfall is it does take up a lot of room in the car and the tires need air quite often. An easy trade off for me though. I did not rate it for flight use not because it wouldn't be great but I don't want to take a chance that airline breaks it!! Now we have our third child and I needed an updated single stroller . It was a no-brainier! I went straight for this stroller. The car adapter is a great addition. Even without it though he was quite comfortable from day one. I plan to use through the next 5 yrs.

We are expecting our first child after a few years effort, so you can imagine our excitement. We have been searching and comparing all kinds of different strollers ever since we found out of the pregnancy! Bumbleride Indie stroller has been on the top of comparison sheet again and again. What we like about Bumbleride Indie (and what makes it stands out among all strollers) are:
* All terrain stroller - it's a must to suit our life style, Indie can cope with rough terrain with its "real' tires (on trails, gravel, beach, snow...). Mind you, we are only light joggers/fast-walkers, which is what Bumbleride Indie is built for (not hardcore joggers or runners)
*Inclined angle - it goes almost flat so it's extremely suitable for newborns and infants. *Canopy position and coverage - wow, just amazing, it can almost touch the bumper bar, which is very useful for during the time rising/setting sun. If you decide to use infant car seat the baby can be completely covered between both canopy! Also, the back of the canopy can be zipped off and there is also a peekaboo mesh window so the parent can easily see or access the baby.
*Size and weight - it's only fair to compare it's bulkiness to fellow jogging/3-wheeler, and Bumbleride Indie wins hands down.
*Vanity factor - I believe the stroller should be bright and vivid looking, and our choice of (2013) Green Papyrus Indie is just so aesthetically pleasing

We originally bought a travel system stroller, but were very unimpressed, especially w/ the plastic wheels. We didn't feel our son was getting a smooth ride at all. After checking out a bunch of jogging strollers we went w/ the Bumbleride Indie and we LOVE IT!! The ride is so smooth, a huge difference from our original stroller. It steers wonderfully, folds up smaller than our original stroller and is about the same weight. It looks great, we get compliments all the time. I love the multi-position recline and the sun canopy really covers our son from every angle. We have taken it jogging and its just wonderful - our son falls asleep in it all the time.

I bought Bumbleride Indie stroller after reviewing many of the ones in the market. I have gone to many stores an pushed many around the store to see how they handled. Well let me just say I wish I would have had this stroller with my 1st son. This stroller turns on a dime is so light compared to many of the other all terrain strollers. The storage is aqueduct I can fit my sons large diaper bag plus my purse an camera all with no problem. With 4 previous children I have tried many strollers. Well let me just say my husband just about had a heart attack with the price but once he used it an seen how easy an light it was to use store an carry he just loved it also. I bought the carry cot with it so we have been using it with the stroller an I have to say not only can he use it to sleep in I love it because if you use both the carry cot shade an stroller shade you have a nice little dome for baby to sleep in an hes nice an safe from the elements. Ok I just love my stroller we use it every day, for long trips short trips an anything in between. As far as recommending I already have.
